SUSTAINABILITY
Since 2014, design and quality at Infantium Victoria have been inseparable from a simple rule: we only say what we can prove. This page is about the people and the practice — who makes our clothes, where, and how. If you want the certificates and the hard numbers, they live on Proof of Ethics.
Every pattern is handcrafted by Atelier D'andt in Vilvoorde, Belgium. From there our production partners bring each piece to life — Lira Moden in Germany, Joaquim Gomes Texteis in Portugal, Nagesh Knits and Wear and Fabstract in India, among others — selected against criteria for resource use, waste management and working conditions, with third-party monitoring of each. Each product page lists the materials used, their suppliers, and the names and locations of the facilities that made it.

Locally Made, Celebrating Local Craftsmanship
We keep making close to home wherever we can: it shortens transport distances, keeps craftsmanship in view, and lets us visit the hands that sew our name into a garment.
Low-Waste Design Practices
Our cutting room works to low-waste patterns that use as much of every metre as design allows. We say low-waste, not zero-waste, because cutting waste is dramatically reduced, not eliminated. The distinction matters to us.
Upcycling and Recovered Waste
Our own cutting scraps do not leave the story: they are rewoven into new cloth by our partner Iro Iro in Jaipur, India.
Plastic-Free Packaging
Our packaging is FSC-certified recyclable cardboard. Within Europe, parcels travel polybag-free.
Circular by Design
A garment's life doesn't end when it's outgrown. Our Suppliers
Transparency without names is just decoration. The descriptions below reflect each supplier's own published standards and certifications, and we link to every one of them so you can follow the evidence for yourself.
A Dutch company founded by Marita Bartelet in 2005, supplying fabrics, yarns and dyes. They work almost exclusively with natural fibres; for us they supply plant fibres — organic cotton, hemp and linen. Ecological Textiles has been a GOTS-certified company since 2013, and considers the certificate the best guarantee that cotton comes from organic agriculture and that every following step — weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing — respects both environmental and social standards: fair wages, good working conditions, no forced or child labour.
Based in Berlin, Lebenskleidung works in small teams and visits its producers in Portugal, Turkey and Germany in person — a very personal sourcing department. Most of their fabrics are made of 100% GOTS-certified cotton, turned into beautiful, durable jerseys and sweats with their production partners.
At c.pauli GmbH, organic cotton is processed without chemical modification of the fibre — robust, long-lasting, and noticeably softer and more breathable than conventional cotton. Raw materials come from Turkey.
Gebr. Elmer & Zweifel — Cotonea
A German cotton house in Bempflingen, in the fabric trade since 1855. Their organic brand Cotonea grows its own cotton in partnership projects in Kyrgyzstan and Uganda — fibre followed from field to fabric — and the company is GOTS-certified. Some of our sweats and jerseys begin on their looms.
Our regular supplier for exclusively developed fabrics. Established in 1927, this Portuguese company invested in its own effluent treatment plant, which regenerates the water used in the industrial process so it can be re-used.
The organic cotton in our skirts, pants, capes and jackets comes from the Lyon area, France. Pastels brings more than 30 years of experience producing quality fabrics under European social and environmental law.
Super-soft organic cotton jerseys from the Italian region of Modena. Every season they present their GOTS organic cotton and linen collections.
Italian cotton yarns of superior quality since 1958, spun from 100% Egyptian cotton grown on farms the company acquired directly in Egypt. Processes and products are certified and managed to protect the environment and the health and safety of workers and consumers alike.
Société Choletaise de Fabrication
For ribbons and laces we trust this French maker, whose policy is to use exclusively organic or recycled materials — organic cotton, jute, linen, bamboo — coloured with 100% natural agents and produced on renewable electricity from the Maine-et-Loire region.
Our coconut-shell buttons are custom made and embossed with the Infantium Victoria logo by this German button maker near Lake Constance.
Fine buttons from Germany — a house devoted to “edle Knöpfe”, with collections inspired by nature in wood, corozo and thread.
A Spanish weaver combining imagination with textile technique, certified by Ecocert for organic and recycled textiles, and a regular presence at Milano Unica and Première Vision.
A Dutch wholesale house for fabrics and haberdashery with a dedicated GOTS-certified organic range — cloth with the paperwork to prove it.
A Berlin haberdashery rethinking the small parts that most brands never mention — including work with Lenzing's TENCEL™ fibres and membership in the Circular Rubber Platform for natural-rubber elastics. The details matter most where nobody looks.
A Fairtrade organic cotton clothing manufacturer in Tirupur, India — garments made from organic cotton under Fairtrade conditions, by people paid fairly for fine work.
A GOTS and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified woven-fabric manufacturer in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. Woven cottons and organic cottons — printed, yarn-dyed and fabric-dyed — made to order, in the small runs a house like ours actually needs.
Our long-term, women-led garment production partner in India — GOTS-certified and listed in the public GOTS supplier database, so you don't have to take our word for it. Many of the certified pieces in our collections are sewn by their hands.
The inventors of Weganool™ — a plant-based alternative to wool spun with wild-growing calotropis, a plant that needs no irrigation and no pesticides. We were the first to bring Weganool to children's fashion, and our material-innovation collaboration with Faborg continues.
